Jennifer is the founding partner of Casey Law Group, PLLC a woman owned and operated law and mediation firm. She has over 20 years experience in insurance defense litigation including catastrophic losses. She has been successful in utilizing risk transfer in complex New York Labor Law matters, premises as well as hospitality cases. She is well versed in coverage issues including UM, SUM, PIP and loss transfer in commercial and personal auto claims.
Jennifer’s goal is always to simplify the complicated cases and create a roadmap to the most economical and favorable results for her clients. Her expertise, persistence and communication with her clients as well as adversaries is the “special sauce” that makes the difference. Relationships matter. She has assisted her clients in risk management, investigation and creating a defense plan following large losses.
She expeditiously handles matters from inception through trial. Her clients include major insurance carriers and self-insureds including international real estate developers, management companies, national hotel chains as well as big box stores.
In addition, Jennifer has completed extensive mediation training and has mediated matters ranging from education, matrimonial, and property disputes. Her years of litigation experience is a natural segway to assisting the resolution of matters.
She also works with individuals and companies in contract negotiations and dispute resolution.
Jennifer is in her seventh year as Chair of the Suffolk County Planning Commission. Suffolk is the fourth largest county in New York State. In this role, she has worked with Touro’s Land Institute, where she also serves as the Chair of the Institute’s advisory board, to produce and moderate panels on important topics educating Long Island’s planners. In addition, she has assisted in the rollout of model codes to assist local planners.
Jennifer has also served on the Superstorm Sandy Suffolk Task Force and currently serves on the Suffolk County Downtown Revitalization Citizens Advisory Panel and was a member of the Board of Trustees of East Woods School where she assisted with contract drafting and negotiation. She has served on the Huntington Historical Preservation Commission, Huntington Economic Development Corporation, National Association of Insurance Women (New York City Chapter), Suffolk County Child Care Council, and Suffolk County American Red Cross Board of Directors.
Jennifer is a graduate of The Energeia Partnership, Leadership Huntington where she sits on the President's Council, and William Smith College where she sits on the Alumnae Council.
